This has been discussed several times in the past, but I finally have a chance to get a picture of a target that my friends and I have been shooting for several years. [ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
These foam plugs come from the oil and gas industry. They have been outside for years and have been shot hundreds of times. Arrows pull out with two fingers.

Looks like a foam Pig! I've shoved a few of those into gas pipelines in my day, albeit lesser diameter. I never thought about snagging a big one for a target... duh!
I now have a mission, thanks!

I'm in Ohio right now. A few years ago, my buddy picked up about 30 from the local gas drilling operations. He asked and they said take what you want. They take years to wear out. I have taken a couple home to Ontario, but I had to put them in storage till I get a place where I can shoot in the yard.

WC2 what are the dimensions of that plug in the photo?

It's about 3 feet in diameter and 4 1/2 feet long. We have some that are 2 fee in diameter.
