Title: A Hunter forged from Japanese 1085
Post by: kbaknife on June 08, 2024, 10:40:21 PM
I hope ya'll let me share a recent completion.
I forged this from a round bar of what is being referred to as "Japanese 1085" by the folks at Pop's. These are industry drops being picked up and sold commercially here and there.

That looks sweet.
I have a knife going right now and I'm thinking of using African Black Wood and after seeing this one,  I made up my mind.
Thanks for sharing.

Karl,
What is the difference between "Japanese 1085" and regular 1085 steel?
