Just curious what the average length straight bow is. Gonna make you pick your favorite.

Mostly 66", but I have bows up to 72". Current two favourites are 66" and 70".
-
I'll have a 66" soon. Currently, two at 60" and two at 62". Like the short hybrids for hunting. We'll see about the longer bow.

68 and 70 but mostly 68. 66 D/R. I draw to 30" true draw length.
-
Can you define straight longbow?
-
For this poll, it means limbs that are pool cue straight and those for the D/R bows. I'll even include those bows that are Semi-curve, but not really recurve.

Wud, I'm pretty much figuring that you are talking about a bow where the string does not touch the belly at all.
60

I'll allow the Moosejaw Razorback that is a semi-curve and touches a tad bit more limb.

It's your poll, but that's not a straight longbow or a longbow at all. It's pretty well-known that if the string touches the belly of the limb it is not a long bow, yet you are still calling it that.
-
I know it is a semi-curve, but not by much. This is not mine but a good pic.

Well I've got a Hickory self bow that goes 72 inches tip to tip.........
Always thought I was a long......longbow guy 66-68 inches being preferred.
Lucked into a R/D 60 inch bow a no cost to me.......it's a fine shooter....shot it most of the winter and into and through turkey season.....it's a keeper.....

I like shooting English longbows so generally I make and shoot these around the 70-72” area.

66" & 70"

64" hybrid, 68" asl, 2 different animals so 2 choices.
-
Got my Razorback and it looks good. I might switch to 66" after shooting this bow a bit.

Are you talking about the shape of the bow unbraced being straight? Or a D shaped long bow at brace?
-
Kirk;
Just not a recurve.

68 -70 HH longbows

This "new to me" new Moosejaw Razorback 66" 60#@28" longbow is rapidly becoming my favorite. Technically D/R longbow. Draw cycle on this bow is excellent and it shoots extremely well.
