I recently rejoined Trad Gang.
I made a posting this morning on the bowyer's bench.
It was deleted, no explanation as to why.
I posted the other day in another topic, and it was not deleted, I am way confused.
I read all the posting rules, and did not violate any of them, or so I thought.
Can the moderator that deleted me, please tell me what I did wrong?
This is the same thing that happened when I originally joined years ago, so I just left.

I don't know what you posted or who deleted it. It's also is not in either of the Admin forums.
What was you post about?
-
I had made a post under the blade welding topic, and yes, I did hit the post button, but nothing appeared under the topic, except the next guy's (horsey) post.
I understand that I'm a newbie to the forum, but I have been making and hunting with stickbows and wood arrows since the early 80s and thought maybe I had something I could contribute.
I was mighty bummed after spending a half an hour typing to not see it appear, it sure takes the wind out of a guy's sails.
I could easily have done something wrong when posting, I am old, and I am not a techno wienie, so my computer skills are not like my 8-year-old grandkids. lol
I very seldom post on any of the forums that I play on, there are plenty of people out there with more experience than me, but if I do post something you can bet it would have been useful to someone, even if all I got was a smile or a chuckle.

Jim, if you clicked the post button and it didn't appear we didn't delete it. I have never had that happen to me before so I have no clue.
I just went to that thread and you post is not there.

Thanks Terry, like I said I may have hosed something up.
I'll try again later.

Up for test.

I have had the same problem once in a while myself.

I have had this happen on occasion on this forum as well as numerous others. May I respectfully suggest for long or detailed posts that the poster type out his or her post in a format like Word, save it, then copy/paste to your text box here? Saves a lot of heartache and if your post doesn't make it for some reason, you still have the original saved.

As much as I hate to say it… it’s probably user error. I just did a long post and inserted a bunch of photos on the POW wow forum the other day with different photo links, and it didn’t go though… Now what I did wrong…. :dunno: :dunno: I haven’t a clue….
I’ve been posing on here for years, and it happens…Always best to refresh your browser and check your posts after making them. Kirk

You also can make your post but don't click "post" until you right click and highlight and copy. That was if the post doesn't go through you can try again and just past it right in.

Recently got new phone and actually found my password!
Don't have a computer, so this is my connection.
Recent posts and reply, I have notice alot of Failure to Connect, server busy, at 5 to 6 am eastern time!
Phone and Internet service here in my part of Indiana is way behind. Most folks don't understand that! I would like to post pictures!
Have a great day!

Yes Frank, for years we've been blamed for network errors and issues. :campfire:

No Terry, no blame, just service in my part of the world!
I will say, does seem to be an issue communicating, understanding, breakdown, on the Internet, as a whole, not just Tradgang!
Have a great day!

Also, if you are typing a post and someone else types a reply, it will prompt you when you hit submit that someone else had replied. If you don't have submit again it won't post. Could have been the problem as well.
