Title: Showing off a handle wrap
Post by: Mo_coon-catcher on October 08, 2024, 10:18:59 PM
Just felt like showing off the latest handle wrap I just got done lacing on. It’s tooled and dyed 5oz veg tan laced on with a back braid using calf lace. I’m loving this style handle wrap. It’s not glued but I do dampen the leather and the lace before applying so than it’s snug when wet and gets tighter as it dries. One pictures shows how I like to trim the wraps. I like them to flow with the edge of the shelf so it adds extra width. The bow is a hackberry R/D pulling 34# at 28”. I’ll try and get good pictures tomorrow and will show them then.

Nice leather work. I like how you shaped the arrow pass.

Thanks guys!

Sorry Kirk, this one was a commission I had a little too much fun experimenting with decoration.
