Here is one I built for my grandson for his vast collection of hot wheels cars and other toy cars and trucks.

The walnut one will be a gift, the light one will stay with me since it has a couple of tiny cracks. I’m working on something else for my Mom. I’ll post a picture if I get it done in time.

I made these as a gift to myself… 😉
For the price of three pieces of high speed steel I have a set of tools that would have cost me three or four hundred dollars.
Plus, it’s more fun to make my own tools when I can.

Post by: wood carver 2 on December 09, 2024, 09:02:19 PM: Thanks Kirk. I had a crappy lathe years ago but I never really learned to use it. A couple of years ago I bought a small one and I had such a good time making game calls and small pieces that I bought a big one last winter.

Post by: garyschuler on December 10, 2024, 09:57:10 PM: Kirk, ya we sold the chieftain. Just added the last bling to the RH pro guide model. Perfect boat for us. I can even pull bow wood off the secluded beaches with it. As long as they are not buried, !!
