Title: Herter's Target Bow Needs A New Arrow Rest Question
Post by: ariser on February 10, 2025, 02:13:07 PM
I need to replace the arrow rest on this Utopian Recurve. Please see the first picture and notice the arrow rest is missing the Wire bit the arrow rests on. Where and how may I go about bringing this fine old bow back to a usable condition?

Ariser,
I was searching for your bow and see that you started a post way back in 2013 and folks tried to help you find a rest then so I take it you have “never” shot this bow yet ?
Wow that’s a long time when I know there’s many traditional archery shops carrying one like it .
As far as value goes it’s 100% up to you on what to ask for it if you are trying to sell it
I seen most your posts were just asking mainly about value of different bows and just wondering if you are just trying to sell bows ?
There is a classifieds forum here you can try if that’s what you are wanting to do but I believe it will cost you $30.00 to use that option.
Good luck finding a rest but 12 years is a long time not knowing how a bow shoots and there are those other options everyone told you about.
Also I did go and change to your “Handle” name you asked me to do but if anyone clicks on your handle name it will show the real name that registered under that handle name.
I just thought it was a kind thing to use your real name when I first responded but understand if you want to keep it private.
Good luck in finding a rest and show some pictures if you can when you finally get one on it .
