Title: Original Texas Tusk Roundup
Post by: Alexander Traditional on February 21, 2025, 09:51:27 AM
I haven't been on a hunt in about three years. Terry had invited me to Laredo, and I just had things going on and wasn't in a good head space.

A guy texted me from some hunts I had been on at Mule Creek Outfitters, and this was sort of a last minute thing. This was where Terry first started the Tusk Roundup.

We had a great time, and a lot of animals were out,but it was cold.  I guess I drank way too much beer I can't seem to hardly find any of my photos, and I ended up somehow erasing my javi picture.

I did get a few though so here goes.

Here's a picture of the arrow at least on the javie. It was an inch and a quarter vpa 175 first time I shot these over the inch and an eighth. They did good.

These are just pictures of the sunsets here. I've seen sunsets in a lot of states, but to me nothing compares to a west Texas sunset.

Here's one I got at a bait called g-spot.
The guys that had hunted there before called it a guinea pig  :biglaugh:

Here's a bait called tanks that the original group hunted quite a bit but nothing taken here this year despite having activity.

Sorry again about the no javie pictures. I seemed to have accidentally deleted them, and a lot of others. Oh well! I know some will say no pics,it didn't happen, but it did  :banghead:

We had a great time. I ended up being the only one to get anything, but we all enjoyed it.

Yes Rick, we started up there.  You are still a repeat offender so I have you on the R O list for 26.

Me, Joe, Bill, Sam and Patrick would love to see you again.

I will be posting the dates next week here on the Powwow, so stay tuned.   :readit:

We had a million laughs on that trip; Thanks Rick.  It was cold  as hell particularly when you leave your sleeping bag at home.

Fairly ugly country as I recall. Game was not moving.

That's funny Bill  :biglaugh: I totally forgot I left my bag at home. I froze my a$$ off.

There was lots of game around this year, still a hard area to hunt
