Title: Bow building advice
Post by: TradPaul on June 14, 2008, 10:35:00 AM
Hey everyone,

I'm looking to try my hand at making a modern recurve. I have access to every type of wood working machinery (friend who owns a furniture shop) What i really need to understand is what types of epoxy/glue to use. heating time and temperature, do i need to make a form with the riser attached when i build the limbs or do i do that after. Also how do i get to my desired weight. What books/videos do you recommend. Thanks in advance of all these questions, please feel free to add any advice that i may need or havent thought of. Once again i am calling on the experience of this awesome forum and those that make it what it is.

There are build-a-longs on all the major archery sites as well.  Spend some time reading them, and book mark the ones you deem worth while.
