i just ordered a signature t/d recurve in brown durawood with matching limbs under clear glass. anyone got some photos of one of these bows? i don't think the pics that i've seen elsewhere give a true indication of their colour. do you like yours and do you shoot f/flight or dacron? please mention which grip the bow has got with the pics. i got a high grip, just want to see if there is a big difference or not. thanks.

I ordered a one piece recurve about six months ago. I forget what standard string they sent me. They were nice people to work with.
It shoots very well and I am happy but in the looks department it's not very pretty. The brown durawood has a dull look; no warm reds or browns. Imagine a sheet of plywood with lacquer.
It bothers me a little but the bow is fast and comfortable so I don't really mind.

Here you go, but mine is brown Ash with brown glass limbs. Not as fancy as the one you ordered but still gorgeous.
It's 58" 52#@28". This bow shoots in the low 190's with 10GPP. I use dacron string as it's more quiet than FF.
It's my primary bow and a sweet shooter...

is "durawood" different to your brown ash? i really like that brown ash you got there, thanks. what style grip is that? high, med or low? i like how your hand is close to the shelf.

Sorry I didn't answer your questions.I shoot both kind of strings not much diff. but dacron is less noise other faster as you know.I think the bubinga grip has a med and also the smaller one but looks diff.b/c of less mass in riser.I had a brn. before the bubinga and it was the older one not ash but there were skips of color in the riser and didn't look right but killed deer and hogs just as good.Kip

No problem , Ozy. I believe Durawood might be an impregnated laminate, while Ash is a solid piece of wood stained to the desired color. The Ash can be had in brown or grey...
The Lee TD Hunter has the most comfortable grip I've yet found. It's thin with just the right amount of palm swell. Really contributes to it's shootability.
You'll notice I wrap my grip with ultra thin sports wrap (used to re-wrap tennis and raquetball raquet handles). Makes for a sure grip when it's damp out or my bow hand is sweaty... :D

hey kip, did bob lee make the knife as well? looks really good as a matching set. NDTerminator- i think i'll get the brown ash instead of the durawood. like that much better. thanks guys.
