I have trad stuff laying all over the place! Evrything is odd shaped. Big items and small items. I can't seem to get it organized to where I can go and find what I'm looking for. Can you show me your organizational systems? I need help before my wife kills me! Thanks
Brian

put everything in a big box and send it to me & I'll put it all away for you...LOL
-
Tell your wife you need to build an addition on the house so you can have your own archery room. Make it at least 60 feet long so you can have a 20 yd. indoor rage too.!!!
-
I knew I could count on you guys!
-
I put all my filedpoints, broadheads and other small items in glass spice bottles in a rotating spice rack. I labeled all the lids and it makes it easy to find those items. The rest of my stuff is still a big mess though! Tackle boxes work well for small items too.

A fishing tackle box works for me.
-
Put all your stuff in one room. Put a lock on the door. DO NOT give your wife a key. Problem solved!

I like Peachey's advice.-------- :biglaugh: Bone

I have "Part of" the garage. I keep 3 of those big plastic see-through boxes you can get a Wal-Mart for about $20.00 I use one for my hunting clothes, one for my camping stuff, and one for hunting stuff.
A medium tackle box works fairly well for most of my archery tackle...broad-heads, tools, extra feild points and the like. I will keep everything in it's own little space. Then just label each container and put it away where your wife will leave it alone!

Plastic storage tubs. They stack on each other and the shape of what you put inside doesn't affect that. They are relatively cheap and don't look so bad. I made a counter beneath cabinets in my basement, similar to a kitchen counter top, but with no shelves / drawers below. I stach these totes two high beneath the whole counter and it looks... OK

Bows and quivers on wall racks, arrows in umbrella stands, small parts in disposable plastic containers - which are put inside big storage containers, and a "go box". The "go box" is a fishing tackle box that goes with me with I go shooting - it contains all the components/tools that experience has shown I might need to handle most any problem while out shooting - extra stringer, additional set-up strings, nocking points, feathers, bow square, glue, allen wrenches, scrissors, lighter, extra points, leather scraps, and so on.

I use a 2' X 1 1/2' X 1' tall three layer tackle box. I keep my bizt, in the bottom along with my three clamps, feathers in the mid layer, it heads and target tips in the next.
It works out great

All my stuff migrates to my sons room, no matter where I put it!
-
That's me too Kathy!
-
I have mine completely organized, please watch your step as you enter the house.

I have our old dining room table up in the attic - that's my bow room. When I first put it up there I really tried my best to keep everything organized. Now I don't even remember what the table looks like, and it just took me 10 minutes to find my spine tester. I left 1/2 dozen broadheads up there...I think they disappeared into a black hole or something. Luckily, they're Grizzlys that I haven't gotten around to sharpening, so I don't have to worry about finding them accidentally. :biglaugh:

i use fisking tackle stowaways for the small stuff and that works great, other stuff thats bigger gets hung on a wall or thrown in a closet

So far, I need a tackle box for the small stuff and a garage to toss everything else in! You guys have the same system as me. :smileystooges:

If anyone finds a 'clear' blue plastic broadhead wrench, and/or one of those little finger-ring grain scales... THEY'RE MINE!!!
What was the question? :knothead:

I built a 24' x 36' shop on to the garage for my archery, bowhunting and camping stuff.I called it an ag. shop but, when you walk in you know what it really is! Heads, bow racks, maps and hunting pictures on all the walls. I even put in a bathroom, beer refridge, wood stove and tv/w vcr. Never know when I may have to move there permanently! Ben

I built a 24x50ft pole barn at my wifes request! She wanted my stuff out of the house. Most of my small archery stuff I keep in old plastic camera boxes. Inside them I keep small clear plastic containers. I also have large rubbermaid containers with wheels in one end and a handle on the other. They even have locking lids. I also use pegboard on the walls.
-
I bought a couple of the little hang on the wall organizers with the little/mid size drawers. They work pretty good for points, bh, cut feathers, misc. small stuff. Everything else goes in small duffel bags or in cupboards. I still have crap scattered everywhere though. But that is just me being lazy.

Don't be too hard on yourself breid. If you put it away, you'll never find it again!
-
I got my stuff in a Tackle box & a Cheap plastic file cabnit & On a couple of shelves I made over my work table.
-
You can buy those rubbermaid drawert units, mine is about 3ft. high and has 5 drawers. It is about a foot wide, I use that and 1 clear plastic flat type tackle box. Shawn

I am very much like killdeer. I went from having several plastic boxs to having one side of a double wide garage that now is the bow shop. I am now up to having one wall has about 10 of the big plastic boes with the small draws for just differnet type of arrow fletch, from 4 inch feathers to 5 inch shield, to 5.5 inch banana fletch... then one big box with just blunt points, wood points, screw in points, extra inserts for now usisng carbon arrows, plus one big plastic box for just bow strings, I now have a total of 14 bows, most are from 62 inch long to the smallest is a 52 inch bear. Now the garage does look good, I have everthing now in a place, even 7 big walmart totes for hunting togs. I even bult a arrow rach that holds a total of 60 + doz arrows.I made up bow rachs from 2 x 4 and used old cedar arrow cut down to 5 inchs for each peg to hold the bow in a horz position by the bow string. I even have a bag target to shoot at 10 yards to work on form. I just went thru the feathers and have over 200 4 inch feathers, 300 5 inch feathers and just got in another 300 of the 5.5 banana feathers. This is what occurs becoming a mad person with traditional archery.
