I'm looking for some input from guy's that have shot the new SXT riser. Looking for some opinions on how the Zipper's compare with other T/D recurves you've shot.
Thanks, Guss

I have a zipper with the standard riser AWESOME! I am kinda new to this but have shot some different bows with vermonster13 it is the best I have shot and -life is to short to shoot a ugly bow-.
-
As fine a recurve as you can get.A few as good but none better.I shot an sxt at Denton and will probably order one after hunting season. I have an Extreme and a standard now and love em.
-
Excellent bows in my opinion. Can't beat the warranty that Bill offer's on his risers and limbs.

Thanks guys for the info. Anybody else?

I have a std Zipper. Beautiful, and I mean beautiful bow. Bill Dunn made mine for me this past spring and I love it.

Just won a tournament last night with my new to me Zipper extreme. This was the first time I shot it and it felt like I had it for years.Theres something about those Zippers!

I have 2 Zippers, both Standard Riser. Both are excellent bows. I'm not familiar with the SXT riser. What is that?
-
I have 2, both built by Bob, bought the first one in 1993....Zippers are hard to beat.

The SXT is a 14" riser based off the extreme except it is shorter, narrower, and more sleak throughout. The grip has slightly less mass to it as well. It was designed for our longbow limbs, but will accept both recurve or longbow limbs. The SXT is available in a recurve model from 56" to 62" and as long bow from 58" to 64"Any existing limbs can be adapted to the SXT.They bolt up the same but limbs for the extreme or standard riser will be wider then the SXT riser. There are a few pics. on our web-site.

one of the greatest attributes of the zipper bow is the wood combinations that Bob used to make the riser lighter in weight than most risers of the same size.
The curly maple and shedua is particularly light. This makes for a great hunting bow the last half of every day hunting, believe me.
My standard, built in 1989 has killed so much stuff it ought to be on death row!
I have notshot the SXT but rest assured,if its a Zipper its been designed, tested, and proven to get the job done.
Good luck in your decision.

What Ray said... :bigsmyl:

Thanks for the info guys, thinking about a new curve, narrowed it down to a couple bowyers, I really like the looks of the SXT riser for the reasons Ray mentioned. Smaller, and lighter.
The Zippers are beautiful, and they offer an unbelievable choice of wood combo's.
Thanks again, Guss

One note Guss, his matching wood quivers are unbelievable! Check them out also!
