I am using carbon express heritage shafts this year and was wondering if the fletch tape works well on these. How about in the rain, thanks. jonathan

had no problem

just clean the shafts with something before (I wipe with an alcohol pad) to remove the film on them from manufacture.

Works just great. Clean shaft with rubbing alcohol or something that will cut any residue's on shaft. Fletch 'em up; add a small drop of super glue on the tips of each fletch---the'll last for a LONG time. I've got some carbons that are 2 years old and have not had any fletch peel back yet.

Fletch tapes appears to work good on wood, aluminum or carbon. Really quick to make arrows using the tape.

tape is probably the only logical choice....................ever, unless you are out and everybody else is too

Fletch Tape?

Yep, good stuff. Survived the Arctic and whatever the weather here in Indiana can do to it. Be confident in it.
Glue the ends as mentioned though, I use a drop of DUCO Cement on mine.

can't understand why people still use glue when the tape works great. I think the tape is the best no mess!!!!!

I'll agree with the no mess part, but I still use glue because it is considerably faster than tape in my set up, holds better (no feather sliding!), and cheaper. Costs about 15 cents a dozen to fletch with platinum and about $2.50 a dozen for tape. The best part about tape is ease that it can be removed and refletched, I really did like that stuff for that. Never experienced any weather issues with it and for a guy with one clamp and fletches a dozen a year, it hard to go wrong. dino

I have even used it on carbons thru a wiskerbiscuit w/ no problems.

I've tried fletch tape and am not a big fan of it. For me the damn stuff always ends up moving and the feathers slide. I've tried everything, and the only way the stuff works for me is to use glue with it. So I just went back to glue. Alot of people really like it so maybe I'm doing something wrong, but fletch tape is not for me.
