Guys and gals I have secured another 180 acres for the Joan Leonard Memorial Bunny Hunt. It is a short drive and is big enough to put 100 guys through. Lots of great cover and me and a bud walked thru it this evening doing a little scouting and we must have seen 50 bunnies and we were not in the thick stuff. Also Dads house is coming very well and we will once again have sleepig arrangments for all who attend. This will be our 7th. hunt. i do not know if we will ever kill 17 again but as everyone knows we have a hell of a time tryin'!! Shawn

17 is impressive....but I think we could beat it. Especially if we just send Damon, Killy and Guru out as shooters each drive. LOL.

Guys it should be a great hunt once again. I am working on some nice stuff for our raffle. The new property is very nice and actually just across the street from the house but we cannot go in that way, but what a spot. It has not been hunted in about 5 years. I saw 9 deer yesterday and 4 were bucks, put up 4 stands already. The hunt is always the 3rd. weekend in Feb. and we again will have the Hope and Faith bows plus plenty of good times. Cindy and I have agreed to let this thing go on for a few more years as we love all you folks. I will keep everyone up to date with a post from time to time. We again are gonna have a special guest and I will ask for a bit of a contribution from all attending to get that person here and accomadations. It will be a surprise until my first post on the hunt, which will be 1 minute after midnight on Jan 1st. 2009. I must be getting old because i forgot all about->>>-----> OOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! Shawn
-
Shawn your inbox is full so I'll post here. From what I remember the raffle was a donation for St. Judes or something along those lines right? If so I would like to donate 1 or 2 of my handmade necker knives for you to do as you wish with. Drop me a PM if you have any questions or concerns. Thanks Skippy

Shawn,
Is the hunt the weekend of FEB 14th or 21st ?
-
Shawn, can't wait my friend.
-
Not fair to post so early with so many many weeks away... :( :banghead:
-
Hey Shawn,
I'll donate 2 8125 padded loop strings. I would prefer to make them after the raffle, so that the winner can specify the length. Maybe I can make a coupon for two free strings? I also have a brand new cordavan glove in the package that you can have but it's a small.
Let me know.
Ryan

Almost has to be the weekend of the 14 that is a long weekend for public employees, like Shawn and myself :bigsmyl:
-
How close will the Bunny hunt be to N.Y. city? I might be able dump Mother off for a couple of days and chase some Rabbits.
-
Jim, you have any idea how much trouble some of us would be in if we left town (alone) Valentine's weekend??!! :scared: :readit:
That is the second to last full weekend though, isn't it. I'll start apologizing now...
-
Man I can't wait....
-
HaHaHa...killin bunnies on Vanentine's weekend!!
Like I'd be able to EVER get away for that with a wife and TWO daughters! My bones are gettin too old to be sleepin in the dog house.
I already have one black mark on my record for going steelhead fishing on the wifes birthday a few years ago.
:knothead:
-
Guys it is always the 3rd. weekend in Feb, so it is the 21st and the 22nd. Guys ya can PM me with donations and I will PM my address. I will post all the details at Midnight 2009. I will say that I have seen a ton of bunnies this year, which is saying something! Shawn

-
anyone planning on going from Central/Southern PA? (I'd be happy to split gas!!!)
:)
-
I'll there for Saturday at least and will bring a few new-bloods in tow it looks like.

i have to admit i absolutly cant wait!!! i was just lookin at the pics from last years hunt. i only hunted the first day,but im gonna have to work somthing out with the warden to let me be gone for the whole weekend!! :help: :archer:
-
Blunts or hex heads are best judos get caught on stuff. It is tough to beat and old fashioned blunt. Remember to attend ya must bring something for the raffle table and an item from the food and beverage list which David(huntrdfk) will do again this year, I hope anyway. Lots of rabbits and a new area to hunt, Curt and I deer hunted yesterday together and we saw a bunch of bunnies at the new place. watch for my post at 1 minute after midnight(Jan.1st.) !! OOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! Shawn
-
Oh there will be tune ups....OOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHH YYYYEEEEEEAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!
