Title: Old Bow

I have an old Ben Pearson Spectre, it hasn't been shot in at least 12 years.  It has always been stored in the house, and has no noticeable cracks, splits, etc.  I have ordered a dacron string for it, and am curious how to gently get it back in shooting order.  I'm thinking of stringing it up and letting it sit for a few days.  Any suggestions?

String it up and pull it about a third of the way back, do this a few times and limber up the limbs. Than just pull it back slowly to your draw. I am sure it will be fine. I have a Pearson that sat from 1966 to 2004, I strung it up and did as I described. I was shooting it within a few minutes. It had the original linen string. Shawn

I recently took down an old Ben Pearson Special from the rack that has been there over 20 years and not shot. I got a new string and set it up right and it shoots great. One of the experts on TG told me it was made in 1968. I'm tickled. Lin

Got a Ben Pearson Hunter from the '60s too.
They were work horses, for sure.
