Thinking of trying these merely for there price point. I'll have a 50# bow and they'll likely around 31" long.
Any suggestions between choosing 55/70 or 65/80 spines? Kind of difficult to translate 55/70 to a 350 or 400.
I'm sure it could get either to work with enough trial and error and weight up front. Didn't know if anybody had experience as to what there actual spine is.

I shoot the Carbon Xtremes from Cabelas in my recurve. The 55/70 are .400 deflection, same as GT 55/75. Mine are cut to 29" and the bow is 58@28. They shoot well with 200gr up front.

Thanks. I'll probably get the 55/70s then. I'll be an inch longer but 8# lighter.
Are you shooting a cut-past-center?
I won't be.

You will need to put a lot of weight up front to get 55/75's to tune on a 50 pound bow that is not cut past center. Do they have 35/55's? Are you using FF or Dacron?

Hold up, I thought cut-past-center didn't require as strong of spine. Is that backwards? Thought you could "build-out" the shelf if the arrow showed spine-strong.
I believe it's a dacron string. I assume moving to a FF would require (enable the use of) a stiffer arrow?

The closer your arrow is to being center shot, the stiffer spine you need. If your spine is too weak you can build your side plate out.
FF will let you use a stiffer arrow than dacron.

A hunting friend of mine shot these for a while. He also bought them because they were cheap. They did not fly very well. I let him shoot my Gold Tip shafts mixed with his and you could really tell a difference. Sometimes you get what you pay for.

Call Sipsey River, he's got arrows just as cheap,if not cheaper than Cabela's. I just ordered a dozen yesterday and I'm eagerly waiting to try them out.

I've been hunting and shooting the Cabelas Stalker Supremes. I like them a lot. Killed over 15 deer and 2 bears, 3 turkeys, 2 coyotes and lots of stumps, rabbits etc. I put 225 gr. at the tip for a mid 50's # bow. Total weight 530. They are $60.00/dozen un-fletched I believe. I never have checked the spine consistency though. I love how glass smooth they are. I've heard they are the same shaft as GT made for Cabelas but I'm not sure.

I agree with Jaz, call John at Sipsey River. He is a sponsor here.
