Recently acquired this bow.Does anyone know what the limb core wood usually is? Can't really tell on this one? Also whats your general opinion of this bow??

Roy usually allows the buyer to sellect the wood used in the scout. I have one that has birds eye maple in the riser and the limbs and another with curly maple in the limbs and riser and my wife has two one that has a Coco Riser with Checken accent wood and Birds Eye Maple limbs and another with Cocco Bola riser and Curly Maple Limbs. They all shoot great. I think that you will be happy with your choice. Roy is great to work with and his bows are tops (IMO).

KA ,
I dont have a Scout but I do have his one peice Cherokee longbow and Im very impressed with it . Ive shot and owned many of the top bows out there and Roys bows are at the top of the list . Its rare that I can pick up a new to me bow and shoot great with it right off but with my Cherokee I shot it like I had been shooting it all year right away . In my book they are very easy to shoot , smooth on the draw , fast as any Ive shot , easy on the eyes , and awesome grip . I dont know if the Scout has the same type of grip as the Cherokee but I would as Roy if it was or not . The Cherokee grip is contured (like the shrew in a way) to fit your hand perfect . BTW , killed a big bobcat with my Navajo Sat. evening .

Hi I have two scouts and they both are great shooters. Why dont you call Roy or email him with the serial numbers I am sure he can help. By the way both of mine have all bamboo limbs.
