Title: Texas Longbow Champs........need info?

Does anyone have a linc for information on the Texas Longbow Championships?  I'm looking for rules and regulations in particular.

Are these not online anywhere?  I have been curious about them also.  I heard that they are real restrictive on what constitutes a longbow.

Longbow and wooden arrows only. They have a jig which your longbow must fit into or it is disqualified. Radical R/D longbows and long bows with large recurve type handles will not fit the jig. Held Memorial Day weekend each year. This year it will be on Saturday May 26 and Sunday May 27. Fifty targets each day. Excellent shoot. Very competitive. Wingnut from above is the man on this weekend. At least he is if you get to attend his BBQ on Saturday night. Take a look at his bows while your at the shoot. You might be surprized.

Thanks Mike, I was wondering if my longbow would fit but it doesn't look like it.  What is the definition of a 'pistol grip' handle?

Glenn,

Usually it would be above a neutral hand position.  High wrist or med high would not qualify.
