The Woodchuck Power Tapering Tool will treat your finger just the same as a wooden arrow!

OOCH!

OUCH!!!!!! :smileystooges:

Stick with the wifes finger nail emory board.

Oh, it looks like you need to do a little more grinding if you are going to get that point to fit over your finger :scared:
That's gonna leave a mark!
Without us do-it-yourself guys, Johnson and Johnson would be broke, so I guess you could say you were just doing your part to help the economy!
Seriously, safety has to come first when using power tools or tools in general. Thanks for the reminder.

Ooohhh that's a nice one. I bet it's just throbbing. I nicked myself today too. Was sharpening a filet blade I've been working on and the dang thing got me right in my palm.
-
Hey, you're not supposed taper your finger!!!!!!
I'M SORRY !!!! I just couldn't resist.
Hope it doesn't affect your shooting.

Funny, just about anything I've ever made with love and care has a wee bit of my blood on it. Just gave my brother a knife I made, got all the way to the end and while sewing the sheath I poked myself real good! Bled like a big dog all over it... That will be one fine arrow, no doubt. ;)

A little 'crazy glue' and you will be good to go.
-
I can just hear my wife in the back ground.
How'd you do that? Was it something to do with hunting?
-
I'm sure it hurt, but it still doesn't compare to the guy who bounced a snuffer off the grinding wheel into his forehead....

WHAT!!!

There are some folks who should not be allowed to use power tools :knothead:
Back to the hand taper tool for you :goldtooth:
As Bjorn said: supper glue to the rescue

I feel your pain my friend.
Power tools have no conscience and will not apologize for what they do...ever.
I'm a butcher and woodworking hobbyist. I've had bones roll on me while using the band saw at work and cut off the end of my left middle finger. I've lost chunks of finger tips by meat slicers. While making a music box for my sister in-law I ran my thumb into a 10 in carbide tipped table saw, cutting it in half from tip to first knuckle.
Be careful and use the safety guards.
:scared: :knothead:

OW! OUCH! YIKES!
OK guys...stop with the horror stories and let me get my toes unclenched! :scared:
-
awww...it's jest a flesh wound ;)
Be careful has been said, I should listen to it myself... :knothead: :wavey:

You need to be more careful my friend!

VA Bowbender, you are just on too good terms with pain. You're supposed to avoid it!
My rule to my kids is: "If you ever put any part of your body where a power tool can get it, IT WILL. They NEVER MISS!"

Been there, done that but I kinda took the end of my picky.

Human flesh does'nt slow a saw blade down AT ALL! Not even a little bit. Ask me how I know.
