Title: Hoyt TD 3 riser
Post by: maxwell on March 29, 2009, 08:13:00 PM
I have an old Td 3 riser and limbs from the 70"s, the riser is magnesium and the limbs are to light I was wondering if these new I think ILF limbs would work on this riser or does it need to be worked on?  If it needs warfing or something who could do it>

Do you have a pic of the riser?  I have owned two different hoyt "TD-3" risers-one was warfed and the other didn't need it and accepted the ILF limbs with a change of the ILF fitting to the DAS fitting.  Both are great risers.

If your riser has the "thumb screws" on the belly and threaded insert in the limb, then you can swap out the ILF fitting with a DAS fitting on the limb and they should bolt right on to the riser.

Pete Ward did a TD3 conversion on his web site.  www.peteward.com. (http://www.peteward.com.)  Scroll down on the left pane until you see Warf/TD3 Ilf. It seems like an easy conversion that most anyone can do.
