How many of you guys hunt with a Hoyt Pro Hunter, or similar 45lbs vintage bow? Just curious, shooting mine today, 2018's 32 inches long, draw to 31, shoot smooth as glass.

Those Hoyt bows are sweet indeed. At present I'm using a 58", Shakespeare Necedah at 45#. I draw just a tad over 28".

I hunted deer last season and Javelina two weeks ago with my 1968 Hoyt Pro Medalist Hunter.. Sweet as it gets. Earl's green "camo" limb glass with a man sized pistol grip. #49 draw and a great shooter.
A bit of midday practice down in west Texas,, of course with my Pro Medalist Hunter.

elbow, a little while back I traded for an older ('60's vintage) Hoyt Pro Custom. What a sweet shooter that's 42#@28" and 68". I'd been wanting a long recurve for a while now and though I don't plan to hunt with it, I wouldn't have second thoughts about using it on whitetails.
