2nd look Cheyenne longbow limb
This new set of limbs I changed the wedge to do what I wanted it to do. Shot it for about an hour this afternoon, I’m happy with it at this point. Setup the chrono and shooting machine. 49.5# @ 28” 445.5 grain arrow, 7 shot string threw out high and low. The five shot average was 191.92 fps Foam core and fiberglass limbs, carbon will add another 4 fps. This limb is ready for production.

Well, the value of secondhand Cheyenne risers just went up! I will have to have a set of these. Too bad I'll have to buy another riser too :banghead:
-
Looks sweet!
-
Very nice Bob
-
Looking good!!!
-
I thought you didn't have time for developing those limbs Bob? LOL You must have got a bee in your bonet.
The carbon foam limbs are just a fantastic improvement. I've only had my ILFs a week and I'm having trouble reaching for any of my older bows.
I need to get a photo bucket account so I can post pics of it. Bob has some great Zebra wood.
-
Beauty!!!
The specs on this bow sound great. What I like better is the looks of it, JMHO it is the nicest looking 3 piece I've seen.
 :notworthy:
Since it is a prototype, instead of throwing it away, when you are done with it, just send it to my PO box. :D
-
Looking good Bob...already thinking about my next bow ;)
-
There goes the neighborhood!!!! I already have two Shawnees and now I'm going to have to go and get me another Cheyenne. :scared:
Bob, that looks real nice.
Mike

Why do you have to do this to me bob... that looks like a shooter right there!

I like the limbs.

Anyone who has a Cheyenne riser bought from us, That would like to test these limbs, E-mail me.
you can shoot them for a couple days and ship them to the next person on the list. Draw length need to be between 26-28"

Nicely done Bob.

Nicely Done!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
No 30" yet.

I would jump on the offer, but I know that I would get into big trouble for not sending the limbs on their merry way.
Killdeer

I really should make some smart remark concerning your post Killy...but I'm not going to do it :readit: :saywhat: :knothead:
-
very nice Bob! anything new for us Shawnee Riser folks? Will you be at ATAR or ETAR?

Bob
hopefully I'll be placing my order by the end of the week. I'm thinking Foam Core over glass. Can I put veneers under the glass to make it pretty or do I need to stay with the black glass with the "foam cores"? I'm thinking "D" limbs with Kudu tips, 57# @ 28" or close on my "A" Riser [which has kudu on back and finger grooves] should make a "Sweet Bow".
Thanks for comming out with these limbs, They should be Awesome. :wavey: :clapper:
-
L.E.- I'm sure Bob will answer, but I believe the answer to your question is yes. I own 2-sets of foam core limbs and both have veneers on both sides.
-
You're a danged marketing shark Bob! You just had to wait until AFTER I sold my Cheyennes to make these didn't you? Now I've got to start planning how to finance a both a new riser and new limbs. I'll tell ya, Miss Kim ain't none to happy with this thread. :saywhat:
-
I'm with ya JC!!! Sounds like we might both be in the basement before this thread is pulled. :bigsmyl:
Come to my place, we can shoot in my basement.lol
-
Killy : You could always say the "post office " lost them :goldtooth:
-
:saywhat:
Why the heck not. I blame them for every other thing that goes wrong in my world...
Killdeer :biglaugh:

no....its George Bush's fault Killie...everything is GHWB's fault....you know that! :readit:
You must not be watching tv or reading any papers...and you're definitely not listening to our new prez!

I've been admiring the Cheyenne for a loooong time now. My good friend Maxwell had a beautiful
lefty Cheyenne that he was willing to sell me and I went and let it slip away. Damnned if I don't slap myself in the back of the head daily for that one! :bigsmyl:
-
Guilty on all counts, Ray.
I have enough troubles without looking for something else to depress me.
Now, longbow limbs for my beautiful Cheyenne riser would be something to grin about!

So killy, what did you order? I'm assuming by your last statement you've placed your order by now. I'm not pressuring you am I?
