Title: chek-Mate Falcon worth?
Post by: Sparky45 on July 27, 2009, 02:05:00 PM
I was wondering if someone could give me a ballpark estimate on what my bow is worth.  I have my fourth child on the way, and between home life, work, volunteer Fire dept...well you get the idea.  I have no business taking it in the woods, so I may try to find it a good home.
Here are the spec's:
L.H. Falcon Special w/ Bubinga riser and elm limbs under clear glass.
54# @ 28"
Also includes:
new string (LBR 12 strand), spare Mountain Muffler string, (17) custom cedars, (10) 2117's, Thunderhorn Boa quiver, (6) magnus 2 blade heads, stringer, string keeper,  shooting glove, arm guard, and a fork horn bow square.
What is a honest and fair price for the lot if I decide to sell it?

Thanks!

Let me start off with a comment on your bow and stuff.  If in excellent condition (since you did not mention how it looks), these bows generally go in the $250-300 range.  You have a good weight for many, however the LH version will reduce your responses.

Your accessories would probably add another $100 in value.

Good luck...and I expect someone will get a good deal here...if they are southpaws.

OK, who's next?

Thanks Blackhawk!  The bow is in pretty good shape.  Maybe one scratch in the limb, but other than that, it looks new.  I shot it quite a bit the first year I had it, but only put about 30 arrows through it in the last three.

that sounds like a good bow and I wish I had the money to buy it but I got to fix my truck so all the money I was saving has to go towards that, I would post it in the classifides, there are quite a few lefties on here
