Title: Need shafts, who owns Rogue River nowadays??

It's time to get stocked up on some more arrow shafts for the coming season and I need some info.

I've always bought my shafts from Rogue River and had great results.  Last I bought cedars was two years ago and I recall that the business was sold but not to whom.

I just checked the sponsors and there is no link to RR anymore..... Who bought them and what are they called now?  Is the quality still as good?

If they are out of existence now, where can I get some high quality tapered cedars in 95-100 or 100-105 lb spine?  I'm pretty darned picky...

And yes, I really do want/need that high of a spine.  Finished arrows will be footed out to about 33" BOP and pulled to about 65# at 32" with FF string on a high R/D longbow.

Let's try again. Don't know what happened. If this is a second reply please forgiv me. They are now Wapitti Archery and are stoll located in Grants Pass, Oregon. Their shafts are sold in 5 pound spine range (though every dozen I have purchased have been within 3 pounds) and all have been within 5 grains os weight. Service is exellant. Just fired off an email.  They don't show spines in the range I want but neither did RRA and they always were able to come up with them for me.  Hope the new company can too!

Reading the testimonials, it sounds like they are equal to the old RR shafts.

Dave, good luck finding such long, strong shafts! I hope Wapiti can still supply them. I sent people to RR several times for the strong stuff.

I still have three dozen barrel-tapered poplar at 100-105#, but they're only 31". You would have to foot them.

The Wapiti shafts I have purchased have been of good quality and hopefully they will be able to meet your requirements. Another fine shaft mfg. although they are not POC are the fir shafts made by Surewood. They do not offer tapered but their straightness spine/weight control is excellent. I would give Bob Marshall a call at 541-484-0965. I KNOW Bob will had pick some shafts for you. Tapering fir shafts is best done by sanding.
