These were in my broadhead box from back in the '90s. Never shot any game with them, but didn't use them much either. Well, I started using them last season and I like the flight of them. I have 6 of them and I am wondering just what the heck they are! Shoot, I can't even remember how I got a hold of 'em! I think I may have traded somebody for them. Anyway, can somebody please tell me what kind they are? They weigh right at 150 grains with a short aluminum screw-in adapter installed in them.

Thanks everyone for looking.

2 blade Delta
-
When Delta was making the Snuffers, they also made these 2-blade models. As I recall, folks found them to be kinda weak.
-
Thank you joebuck! I think I can remember now that you have told me. I can remember that I shot 3 bladed Snuffers back in the '90s when they were made by Delta. Were these pictured known as "Delta 2 Bladed Snuffers" possibly? That seems to ring a bell. What are everybody's thoughts on them? Are they a pretty good head for whitetail?
-
Fletcher, I was typing when you posted. How do you mean weak? Coming apart or bending back at the tip?
-
I thought Delta had one called the "nubbin"?? I believe it was a 2 blade also.

I've been trying to remember, Doug. I remember that there were some issues with the Delta Snuffers and I may be mixing the two. As long as the steel holds its edge, I wouldn't hesitate to use them.
You are correct about these being called the two blade Snuffers. The convex blade models were called Nubbins. I still have some of the Delta Snuffer 3-blades in my trader box.

I seem to remember the 2-blade Snuffers having a forward vent.

I have some old broadheads that are very similar, except mine have curved edges. I'm almost certain mine were called 'Delta Snypers'.
Interestingly, they were made of stainless steel.
I haven't experienced any problems with the blades bending and they've certainly had a good 'work out' over the years.
Hope this helps.

is that a Zepher Sasquatch
-
The snuffers had the vent like the picture Jason posted. Both were fine for deer sized game and worked well on turkeys. The point could bend like many others on big bone hits.I shot one of my first deer with the snuffer and it made two nice holes.Gave the rest to a buddy when I switched to the woodsman and he loved them on turkeys.

That's what I was thinking.

Not a Sasquatch either. The vents, ferrule and blades are different.

I think Whitetail Chaser has it right. Delta Nubbin.
-
Now I'm totally confused. I thought I had it right with Fletcher's answer as a Delta 2 blade Snuffer. But now some say it's a Nubbin. Oh well, don't guess it's that big a deal anyway. I feel confident it's a Delta at least.

Definitely a Delta Nubbin, I have some 100 grainers just like yours....Bobby
