Title: why not uniform glue on pt. wt. selection ?

Wood arrows are rated in spine ranges of 5 lbs. as in 50-54 lbs., 55-59 lbs. etc. and 25 grains added point weight calls for one spine range higher and 25 grains less point weight calls for one spine range lower. This is not news to most on this site, but to me it begs a question. Does anyone know why after 100 and 125 grs. in glue on field pts. there are no 150, 175, or 200 gr. offerings, intead all heavier weights are in between the seemingly logical 25 gr. increments?

The field points weights were chosen to match broadhead weights, which just happened to end up being 160 and 190 gr.

I have noticed those 2 matches and the 145's as well but there is a much larger number of broadhead weights that have no matching field points!

I forgot to add that there are actually 150, 175, and 200 gr. broadheads available that of course do not have the matching field points  mentioned in my original question.

You just don't have to be that precise, and 25 grain increments are not necessarily the break point to the next spine class. Broadhead design affects the performance. Start with theory, but shoot what actually works.
