Title: Selway Recurve Slide-On
Post by: dave19113 on September 09, 2009, 07:26:00 PM
Does anyone have any feedback and/or experience using the Selway slide on quiver. I was thinking of buying one. I use a hip quiver and it moves too much so i was going to switch back to a bow quiver.

thanks

I've used them for years.  Excellent quiver.  Be sure to slide them well onto the fadeouts on any bow you place them on.  This gives a tight fit and keeps them from moving on the limbs.  Good luck.

What Orion said. I have been pleased and own three or four of them.

Thanks guys... I was hoping Id get good feedback. I really like the look, I was just a lil worried due to it sliding on and not strapping on.

I love mine. It has never slipped and if I get another recurve there will be another leather Sewn on it

I've never had any problems with them.  Like others said, just make sure to honk it on to the fades and you'll be fine.  Just sold mine though lol.  I want an Arrow Master.

I used to use one on a Black Widow MA series recurve. It worked great. The only thing I didn't like was that it wasn't real convenient as far as removing it in a hurry if you needed to. I've often wondered how well the Selways work that have the quick detachable screw knob on the side of them. Looks like it would make a great quiver even better.

They're very tough, quiet and they stay firmly in place.

If you like bow quivers, they are one of the best, tough as nails and they stay put!

I had a quick detach that was on my Robertson TD Recurve and it slid around a lot.  I did not like it.  The knobs holding the quiver on were kind of bulky.  I liked the true slide on better... I also noticed it quieted the bow, but changed the power stroke a bit by absorbing some energy.  I had trouble with consistent arrow flight with it, so I sold it... I would like to try the true TD bolt on quiver, but do not want to pay $$ on a whim... had too many quivers already... think I'm gonna just build my own Asbell style for this season  ;)

Being honest, I don't care for them. They seem to change the way the limbs flex if you ask me....

I have used EVERY quiver known to man. The selways are the best of the best. Soap up the limbs with dawn dish washing soap then slide the quiver ALL the way to the riser on a take down bow and you will not have any trouble with the power stroke being effected. I have thunderhorn quivers also but the slide on selway is my favotrite. I also ahve a great northern quiver which are great quivers on SOME bows but not all.

Have been using them about since they came out....

Like the others said make sure you get them well above the fades....I wet the area with unscented soapy water(just a little) and then slide them on...works like a charm....

Excellent quivers

I've had a detachable Selway for probably ten years now and have never had a problem with movement. I actually think that style fits a greater range of recurve limb widths. Great quality quiver.
