Well a couple years ago I sold all of my longbows after developing a horrible case of target panick that I couldn't cure, mostly because of lack of time and bought a wheelie to bowhunt with. Well since I've been laid off I've been trying to shoot my recurve everyday and I've pretty much got the target panick licked all the way back to 20 - 25yds. Well I'm pretty confident on 20yd shots and very confident on 15yd shots so I carried my curve to my stand today and WOW!! I don't know why but I just feel so much more alive with a stickbow in my hand than I do the wheelie. I'm back and I'm here to stay this time!! I'm sure it won't be long before I drop the curves and get a couple of longbows though as that is where my passion lies.

thanks guys!! well, I hope I'm lucky and get the Great Plains curve in the classifieds! I've wanted a Great Plains curve for a LONG time, so if I get it I won't be picking up the longbow as soon as I thought. Can't wait for Saturday, I shot out of my stand a few times today and I nailed the leaf that's on the trail in my main shooting lane every time. Hope I see more than squirrels my next outing.

Luke, don't let the dark side draw you in again!! May the Force be with you!!

I'm gonna keep practicing every day, even if I only have time for one or two shots that day. I made the mistake of not shooting for a while back when I developed the target panick and I don't ever want to go through that again!

Quality shots are more important than quanity.Shooting to many arrows can sometimes cultivate "BAD" habbits.Squirrels are good eating too.
