I got up this morning and my wife said "Yesterday felt like summer and today winter"! So I opened the front door ,stepped out and Smiled and Thanked God for this day...I myself haven't even got my license to hunt this year due to something more important but if it is His will then maybe in November...I check this website every morning like a buck is checking his scrape to see if someone has left their mark just because I like to see and smell the excitement of Autumn in the air...When I see my home state Trad hunters take a moment and share their hunt it really excites me to read about it...If it is O.K to write here on why I haven't been in the woods I hope this post won't be pulled...A few years ago my wife and I adopted a child and on Oct.22nd we will leave to adopt another two year old with special needs and our little "Ande" will have a sister...Ande is already shooting a borrowed long bow made of osage and last week I was out shooting in the yard and she was out with her Mom shopping and as she got out of the car she asked me "Can I shoot my bow Daddy"? This is a 31/2 year old asking and of coarse I had a smile as big as Texas so I grabbed the bow and pink back quiver and her eight arrows and got busy for my little "Pocahontas"...Somewhere I got some pics of her with her bow from last spring and this past summer but don't know how to post them...We will be taking our laptop with us and I'll be checking in here to see how everyone is doing and even if I'm halfway around the world my mind will wonder on what is happening in America ...I will return on Nov.6th and if I do get the chance to get out this year I'll be happy but if not I can come here and read everyone else's story and that will be just fine...God Bless and enjoy the smell of Autumn!Keefer's <")))><

Beautiful Keith - you are a blessed and fortunate man who has his priorities exactly where they should be. Your time in the woods will come, and in the meantime the stories here can keep your fire stoked.
If you email pictures of Pocahontas I'd be happy to post them for you.

Sounds like your doing Gods work to me. Like WHip stated, You definitely have your priorities where they need to be.

Joe, I couldn't wait to get up thismorning and "check my scrapes" so to speak..Thank You for taking your time to help post these for me...We call her our little "Skeeterbug" and she will say my name "Ande"...Ten more days this child leaves for a little sister...Blessed is the man who has a Quiver full of them....

Thank You John and to "God Be The Glory"! I've been getting up a little extra early every morning[I don't use an alarm clock just instincts to get up] and wonder if it's just the Autumn air or is it the upcoming adoption that's about to take place...Thanks to all of you for the kind words and for a very special person from Texas named "Longhorn 74" who I've never met who helped us out of the kindness of his heart with a few checks not once but twice...I can't thank you enougth for all you've done and may God Bless You as well...I pray one day I can repay those who have helped in making a dream come true with these two children I can call" Arrow's In My Quiver! Thank You All, God Bless, Keefer's <")))><

T.T.T. Well just to add a little something to this thread if you don't mind...Today is my Birthday and I'm 46 years Old and yes I'm about to be a Daddy to another little girl...Best Birthday present a guy could ask for and I'm getting very excited cause we leave Thursday to fly over and meet her face to face for the first time...Another great little part of this story is thismorning I received a 360 Huntmore stool for my birthday and no sooner then I got it put together our daughter jumped in it before I could...Talk about a battle trying to get her out of it so I could test drive it.. :biglaugh: I think I might have to get her one for her birthday as well...I have it set up in the living room and little "skeeter bug" can watch her little shows before Church...I think I have a little huntress growing before my eyes and even though I haven't had the chance to hunt this year yet I can dream about it if I get to sit in my Huntmore 360...I asked Mike Mitten about his thoughts on the chair and what a chair it is...This thing is really made nice and I think one could Nap for hours out in the the great outdoors...I might take it to Church with me thismorning... :D God Bless, Keefer's <")))><
