I just started shooting my 125 gr. screw in Woodsmans today, and they seemed to make quite a bit of noise. Is this common, or could I be doing something wrong?
They sure do fly well though. Right with the field points...couldn't even tell the difference.

Mine do not seem noisy. Having said that, I'm shooting the old, un-improved 150 grain screw-in's (which are vented, btw). Don't know anything about the 125's, but I assume they're basically the same. I'd check your broadhead/shaft/insert alignment first. Good luck!

I use them and I have not noticed any noise.
I shot a nice 10 point buck last night with one,so obviously im happy with them.

I had noise with mine until I bare shaft tuned, now they are dead silent. Not really sure why though..
-
Mine make a hissing sound also, they do fly well though.
-
Snuffers hiss too, but they still kill deer!

What you here is the hiss of Death, Use them

I've seen many post about the WW being noisy. I have both the old and new style and have not heard any noise. But with my hearing they would have to be really making a racket or I'd never know it. I may just think mine are quiet.

...Only noise mine make are from impact...deer, turkey, ground, trees,etc...
-
My fletching drowns out the ww!
Seriously, I never hear them and I shoot my broadheads alot.
-
Earl I like the sound of that!

Try the new Woodsmans no noise from these they are a solid head no vents. Only problem may be they start at 160 grain glue on and 175 grain screw on they are solid as a rock.Look them up on 3 River web sight.I switched from the vented 150's to solid 175's with no problems in flight! Better yet look them up on Morrison's sight,or Zipper's they are called VPA Terminator's same manufacturer just sold with two different names and two different prices!!
