Title: Garretts Mad Dog Giveaway Bow!
Post by: ALW on November 22, 2009, 01:57:00 PM
Sorry it took so long but I finally have some photos of my son Garrett shooting his new Mad Dog Pup recurve.  He was fortunate enough to have his name drawn for a giveaway on the site.  We haven't gotten a chance to shoot much with getting in after dark in the evenings.  But we finally got out the other afternoon to give it a try.  The bow and arrow that Mike Mecredy sent are fabulous and Garrett loves them.

Hopefully once things slow down a bit we can get out and spend a day in the field doing some stump shooting.  Thanks again to Mike and Mad Dog Archery for the bow.

Sorry.  That should have read "bow and arrows" that Mike sent.  Four very nice arrows that he has room to grow in to.

ALW

Looks like he's really enjoying the bow, appears  to have nice form and  a very nice "follow thru" on his shots.       :wavey:              :jumper:

Thanks for sharing. Looks like traditional archery has a future at your house at least until the girls start to show up on his radar..lol You've got some time yet it seems.
Good form Garrett. Have a blast with your new bow.
God bless,Mudd

Thanks for the comments guys.

L.E., as the bows get higher in weight and faster, we start shooting at the front half of the deer!  LOL...........

Yeah, no girls on the radar yet.  Except for his twin 2 year old sisters!  I have to get back into bow making soon!

Thanks again to Mike for the bow.  Very well made and nice to look at.  I told Garrett that he had to give the bow away when he outgrew it and he wasn't too happy with that.  Then I told him that he could pick the name out of the hat for the person we would give it too.  That seemed to ease things a bit.  Haha.

Just a reminder to everyone that Mike at Maddog makes adult bows as well as the great pup kids bows he makes for Vermonster13's give aways.  I hunt everyday with my Maddog midsize recurve (custom made under $200)and I love it!  Check his bows out.  He is a TG sponser!

Vermonster13, sorry for not thanking you too.  I appoligize for that.  You do set up the giveaways and I was not thinking when I was just thanking Mike.  Keep up the good work with this.  I'm sure that a lot of kids are enjoying bows that have come from your gracious giveaways on here.  I know Garrett is.  Thanks again.
