Title: Bean bison leather boots

Does anybody have any experience with theese? Thinking about buying a pair and was hoping for some feedback. Thanks, Greg

I got them for Christmas a couple years ago... they are better than a rubber boot in support, but not as comfortable as a good hunting/hiking boot after a mile or so... but for a typical fall whitetail hunt, they are great!

I've had a pair for a couple of years.  I have a fairly narrow foot and I have a hard time getting them snug enough even with heavy socks.  If I put on too thick of sock then it cramps my toes and still isn't supportive enough in the ankle area.  For casual wear they are fine, though. If you are looking for a hunting/sneaking boot look at the H.S.Trask Gallatin Gates.  They are ankle-high moccasins made from butter-soft leather with gum rubber soles.  I'm thinking I need to get another pair (you know how they always quit making something that is perfect).

I don't have the bison leathers but I do have Bean Maine hunting shoes.  

They are great. .  for what they are for.  

 For somewhat level ground, in most weather they are great.  They are cold if you live in the north.  

I wore them in the Colorado elk mountains for two weeks.  They worked, but I have other boots that support me a lot better.

They are quiet to stalk in and I can feel everything I step on.

You don't use a 1/2 inch wrench on a 1/4 inch bolt.  These are 3/8 inch boots.

Similar to the Cabela's Premium Upland Boot, which I have for upland bird, Grouse, chukar etc, deer. Light weight, no breakin needed. Have both insulated and uninsulated, comfortable for lots of walking. I use them in pretty rough country, where there is volcanic rock. Would not use in really wet areas, rough or cold elk/deer hunting out west. The boots I have for rough country are Danner.

I got a pair of the exact boots in question. LOVE MINE. not real good for keeping your feet warm if your not moving once it drops into the twenties but with a pair of underarmour socks and bean wool boot socks they are great as long as your not sitting for any length of time in the real cold temps.
 Most comfortable pair of boots I own, light and great for stalking.
 Overall a great hunting boot imo. would be better with som insulation for real cold but you can get them too.

don't have any bison leathers,but Bean has unmatched, over the top customer service and product backing. and they make one heck of a boot!!!  :thumbsup:
