Title: Mohawk bows
Post by: lonniels on January 02, 2010, 05:49:00 PM
So I recently bought a Mohawk from the classifieds and I shot it some and decided I didnt like the grip. I put it up for sale today(briefly)and Vince contacted me to inform me that the bow I had did not have the normal grip he usually builds and that he would change it for the new owner. I got to thinking that I loved every other part of the bow, I just could not get used to the grip, so I am going to send it to him and keep the bow.

I just could not beleive how nice Vince is to offer that to me. I am not even the original owner. It is the small things that make me a loyal customer and I can assure you that I will be buying another Mohawk soon. Thanks Vince!!!

Lonnie,  I saw that you had the bow in the classifieds and was gonna offer to buy it back from you.  It was just a tad long for my type of hunting.  I actually liked the grip on it but it seemed a little big when I wore gloves.  Was the grip too big for you?  What are you having changed about it?  I plan on putting an order in with Vince for an all boo 60" after my move.

Ken

That's the kind of attitude that keeps a bowyer at the top of the list when someone's looking to buy a bow. Do business by the Golden Rule and you'll stay busy.

I have a Mohawk on order and can't wait to get it and start shooting. I haven't talked on the phone with Vince, just emails, but he seems like a great guy to do business with. His promptness on responding to emails is what finally made me decide what bowyer I wanted to build my bow. Now I have to get my mind of of it again before I go crazy waiting on it!

Kenneth,

The grip was too big, I have to wear gloves sometimes and like a grip that is a little smaller. I will pm you. Thanks, Lonnie

Vince did the same thing for me.  Bought a used one here and sent it to him and he adjusted the grip and refinished for a very nominal fee.  Great guy to deal with and a top quality bow for sure.

Nice to hear someone cares more about customer satisfaction than the almighty dollar. You may not have been a direct customer, how ever if you ever buy a new bow, a Mohawk should be on top of your list.

One might say Vince "eVinces" exemplary customer service!  By keeping prices low and service high he will have no shortage of work.
