Guys, I am looking to try Landshark160's method of sharpening some Magnus I 160 grain heads when I buy them, and was wondering if anyone knew the factory grind on them. Also has anyone used the S-24 file set from 3rivers, and with what results? Thanks, Mark

It's aweful darn close to 25 degrees.

Thanks for the info Mr. Lamb.

I've always used the Tru-Angle files and diamond on 2 blades. Anyone know what their angle is????

The Mag I's take an incredibly sharp edge. If you do it the way Landshark did his with the Razoredge jig you will not be disappointed in any way.

That's what I am looking to duplicate Bill, 'cause I am sharpening challenged!

They are the broadheads that come out the sharpest from my tools.

I have both the S-24 file set ups for 2 blades and for Snuffers, and they work great. A few passes on the files then a couple across the strop and look out!
Tip: Donl honk down on the broadhead as those files are efficient and will remove a lot of metal. Easy does it and it only takes a few passes. The first Snuffer I sharpened on them, I removed so much metal I almost filed through where the bottom of the blade meets the base.
Even easier, I use a G5 sharpener & strop. 5 or 6 pulls through then a couple passes on the strop produce a wicked sharp edge on out of the package Magnus broadheads...
