Pennsylvania is beautiful.
Where I`m at, the woods wont look like that `till mid April.
You remind me of my pops...if you would have known him, you would surely take that as a compliment.
Those arrows sure look like a perfect flying streak from the angle I had.
Happy trails George D. Stout.

Way Cool!

George, that sure looks like some Nice Timber you get to Shoot in,Very Good Shooting at that, unless the picture is deceiving that does look like a Long 35 yards,Hope you had a Great Day,
Kurt

That's the Necedah with the 450+ skinny string on it. I shoots pretty fast, but it's quiet in the hand. The silencers in that string are of B-50 dacron...stuck between the center strands.
It was forty-seven steps to the stump, but my steps are just a tad over 27/28 inches, so it was close to that range. I just guestimate the distance anyway since I don't gap until I get to 55/60 yards.
-
I'd say that was a tad longer than 35. Wow, I'd have emptied my quiver and broke or lost half the arrows before I could have hit that... Great shooting man!

 :archer:

Thanks, George!

George,
I never saw you participate in any of the "First Shot of the Day" challenges. If we start that up again are you game?
-
Must have missed that one. I do doze-off now and then 8^). Sure...why not.
-
If I tried to shoot 35 yards here today, I couldn't see my arrow, much less find it...blizzard conditions...yuck! I'd trade you for your blustery, George.
Nice shooting, though, especially in the wind. The last actual stump I shot last fall turned out to be oak. You know, they don't soften up much! My arrow bounced back about 10 yards and I never did find the nock again! No damage to the arrow though. Those Beman ICS Bowhunters are tough!
Another 2-3 months and I'll be able to go stumping without losing arrows in the snow :(
Thanks for the video, George.

Good shooting George.....looks like spring there compared to the Yukon...tee hee

Nice shootin', George. I subscribed to your videos on youtube. I also posted a comment on there and voted on your clip.
Good job.
-
I wish I could get it to play.. Dang it!
I can see the woods though and it is a beautiful spot.
God bless,Mudd

Well done.

That was cool, I need to do that more! I like your red plaid jacket.

2 shots a day will keep a lot of bad things away, good shoot'in.
-
I'd have put both my arrows in that stump at 35 yards.. Yer slippen there Ole Boy:)
-
There is hardly any snow in your woods, not fair. I will be wearing snowshoes for spring turkey hunting with the way things are going around here. To be honest, the only reason I go spring turkey hunting is to go bird watching and stump shooting. I think I will do some stump shooting in my basement today.

I spent some days camping there when I was a boy a great place. Would like to shoot with ya someday George in the park. Widow
-
widow sax, you are only 1 1/2 hours away....give me a shout when you want to go. I was born and partially raised in Boiling Springs area...circa 1950's. 8^).
-
Don't want to doubt the elder statesman but I counted 75 steps from the camera to the stump. Even at your shorter stride I'd say you were closer to 50 yards out. So how did you miss the first one :)
-
The first shot went left by about half a foot, between the tree and stump. I was probably looking at the hole between the tree and stump 8^).
-
Awesome video George! The first two shots of the day are by far the most important. All the rest can be chalked up to working on form and adjusting to certain distances.
That stretch of woods looks a bit like Michigan. Stump shooting is one of the very best ways to practice, sometimes more so than a 3-D range.
I always love watching videos posted by all of us. Gives more of a look into a person beyond typed words.

Nice shooting on that classic bow George, looks cold there for sure.

Great shooten George and you are so well mannered in the woods :clapper:

Nice George...looks alot like the woods we stump shoot and chase squirrels around here in NY. Love those old bows... :readit:
