Hi Guys,
Moved into a new house and just redid the recroom (Manroom). In the last house I had a 10" shelf all around the room. Made a great spot to display my shed antlers.

How do you guys display your sheds without lots of shelving? Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks, Frank

Here is a little biologist's trick for ya.
Get some chicken wire and t-posts put them in Zig-Zag pattern. Place corn in the inside corners. when bucks get down to get the corn the chicken wire will snag the antlers. if they are getting lose the will fall off right there.
-
I dont even know where to look for these guys. We have alot of squirrels, so they dont last long!
-
mwmwmb, I was going to say the same thing :biglaugh:
-
mwmwmb, what if they are not loose
-
Chris, they dont get tangled, they just snag.
-
Not the best pick but I plan on putting several of my paired sheds and some of my bow killed racks on these wooden skulls.
I think they look pretty cool!!!

These sheds were found near my house and a rifle hunter shot him that fall.
Better look at the wooden skull, This one is made out of maple.

Tracy,
Where did you get the wooden skulls ??? That's a great idea !
-
Van Dykes taxidermy sells them, Hand carved and under $40. You can make everything else on your own for pennies worth of wood.
The come in Maple and Walnut you stain and varnish them yourself. :bigsmyl:

cabelas sells a kit by mounain mikes reproductions that is neat. it is a reproduction skull and you can mount sheds onto it and it looks just like a real euro mount when finished
-
Those sheds mounted on the wood skull are really slick Trapper!
Thanks for sharing!
I am going to have to check that out - I've got a set of mulie sheds that could be interesting.

I was never that lucky when it came to shed hunting. The few that I did find had already been munched upon.
-
That wooden skull is pretty cool!

I got a nice set of sheds with bladed brow tines that my Dad picked up on the edge of one of his fields. I love the look of the wood skull, thanks for the idea. I'm definitely going to check this out. What is the method of attaching the sheds to the wooden skull?
