Title: BH and heavy arrows

Does anyone find that heavier arrows fly straigher with a slighly increased brace height?  I'm trying to tune some new carbons that weigh about 140 grains more than the cedars I was shooting and they seem to fly straighter with more brace height.  I increased the BH from 6 7/8 to 7 1/8 on a 57 # at 28 r/d longbow (62 inch).  Just wondering if there was general rule here (I'm a newbie).

Each bow will have a brace hieght sweetspot....you just gotta find it with the arrow of your choice.  There is no 'set in stone' rule.

Well it is 8 months before deer season starts again..I guess we need to do some kind of test on it.  ;)  

Every bow will have a sweet spot according to how you have it setup as Terry says.You need to find it when you are tuneing any arrow.

It may be something besides just weight affecting things.You are not just changing weight but also material.I increased arrow weight on a couple bows and was able to lower my brace height about 1/2".I was using the same diameter carbons with both setups.One was just a good bit heavier than the other.I don't know if there is a rule but your arrows and bow will tell you what is needed and I would stick with that.

Thanks for the replys.  Sounds like I just have to experiment and find that sweet spot.
