Well I got my mesh pinned to the pull over coat and started to tie it on. I got the boarder of the back done and a little on the shoulder. Man there are a lot of knots to tie. My goal is to get the mesh on the coat in the next week. I am planning on putting in 1-2 hours a day. I am going on every intersection on the boarder and then every other one in the middle of the coat. I hope putting jute on goes faster.

Are you fingers tired? I originally wanted to make a coat but settled on a poncho and head piece. Thought I'd never get done. I like it though...but you have to make sure your bowstring doesent snag some of the strings. Practice with it before you hunt with it.......I know from experience.

My mom made one for me several years ago. She cut it out of camo cloth in the form of a hooded knee length robe, sort of like a boxer would wear into the ring. To fasten it, she used velcro. Then she cut strips of camo burlap and sewed the strips to the robe. The length of the strips vary so as not to look too even all the way around. She also made gaiters that fasten with velcro so that my legs are covered. Its a bit bulky and hot for warm weather but feels pretty good on cooler mornings. Its effective.
Will you post pics when you are finished?
