Ill try again. This tom was my first longbeard. It was 24lbs , 1 1/8th spurs, and had three beard longest was 10.5 inches.

aw, man...couldn't you have shot a BIG one!!!!! What a monster...24 lbs...we don't grow them that big here much....you will go a long time trying to shoot a better turkey. :thumbsup: :thumbsup:
Did you shoot him with or without a blind? How far did he run afterward?

Didnt have a blind. Funny thing is my buddy and I thought we had a good game plan and of course, he did just the opposite, and lit from the roost into the field right in from of me. He didnt go far.

Thanks for all the kind words. Set up was a new Border Black Douglas 54@28 I received from Sid about 2 weeks ago, axis 340's, and a stos bh. Oh yeah, and a lot of luck.
