Title: New to me Dauntless
Post by: sentinel on March 21, 2010, 05:39:00 PM
I recently purchased this left handed Dwyer Dauntless from fellow tradgang member String Cutter. The bow is 62" in length and draws 52# @28". The riser is Ebony and Tulip with Osage Accent stripes. The limbs are Tulip with a Bamboo core. I wish some of the pictures turned out better.

Beautiful bow. I would have bought it when he had it up if I hadn't had an Endeavor on order.
 congrats.

Went to the indoor shoot on March 7 in PA to see what the Dauntless would do. Unfortunately I did not have any properly spined arrows for it. Though the Dauntless was fast and very quiet my arrows were exhibiting erratic flight. I did bring several CE Heritage bare shafts that were cut to 29". With the standard aluminum RPS inserts intalled and 125 gr. points, all shafts showed that they were spined too heavy. I installed 145 gr points on the 90 and 150 shafts and though the 150 shaft was still too heavy the 90 shaft flew fast and true.Preferring the larger diameter shafts of the 150's I ordered the RPS weights which should arrive soon.
