I just finished making a cane arrow for stumping/ small game. The cane is from 3Rivers. I added a hardwood internal footing and use a .30/30 case for the head. Real turkey feather 2 fletch, a self nock, and artificial sinew are used. I have no idea of the spine (I'd guess around 65), but the finished arrow weighed 540 grains.
Out of my BBO (55#@30"), it hits right where I look. I'll have to trim the feathers, though. They're pretty loud.
I'll make the next one a little longer and a little cleaner. My sinew wraps look a little sloppy.

they don't have to look fancy they just have to work and land where pointed. i've got some of my own that look almost like em.

I just went out and shot a bunch of dirt clods and wood chips. I used my Howard Hill Halfbreed and it flew great. I did trim the fletch down and it's really quiet in flight now.
The only downside is that it's almost invisible in flight. I need to figure out how what to add for some high visibility.
I imagine that blunt would knock the stuffin' out of a squirrel or rabbit.

Chartruese or White. I've lost a few all natural barred turkey with cane while stumping. I've found a few while trapesing the same area but if I would have used a brighter color they would have been easier to spot.
