i can't take credit for the idea but i had to copy it. i hunted with a guy once who had one for his widow take down. such a great idea. anyway i'm back home now so i jumped on mum's old sewing machine and knocked one up out of some camo polarfleece. it slips onto the limb tips and then closes with velcro along the belly.
it'll be great for protection when in the ute or the boat.

That is so cool!
Man! You could make dresses for skinny chicks and make a bundle especially in a 3rd world country where some of them are skinny. Not so much here in the USA.... Just kidding folks! Please don't beat me..lol
That really is a cool bow dress.
God bless,Mudd

Now there is a fine idea "WELL DONE"
-
That my friend is a very marketable item. hope you follow up on it. Just start small and sell them at local shoots and rendevous. You should do real good. Frank

Great idea and thanks for showing!!

hey ozy thats real cool!! well done :clapper: :clapper:
-
it keeps it nice and snuggly warm in winter too. :p

Looks Fine-ice to me! I second the marketable notion. Is "ute" short for a utility vehicle?
-
Hey Mudd, you are actually spot on. I could say more, but better not! LOL
-
  cool Clint that looks great, might have to sneak int the wifeys sewing room after seeing that.
ber643 , yep a ute is what you blokes I think call a pickup, doesn't matter if it's jap 4 cylinder, an F250 or a genuine aussie holden one tonner , it's a ute, and we love 'em as muh as you blokes :)
Cheers

I'll third it.

I'm less concerned about getting a nick or two in the bow than I am about the string getting abused while in the truck.
Nice bit of work though!

Nice Ozy, I would think the grip would need to be exposed as the polar fleece material over it would make it slippery when shooting. Am I correct or no?
-
I would think it's just a protective sleeve for transit, not for "in use" applications (at least I would hope).
LOL - Thanks for the inclusive breakdown on utes, Wal.

nice one mate ...

nice one mate ...

kentuckyTJ- you take it off before using the bow. it just protects it while in the car, boat, ATV, whatever. handy for those trips that don't require you to break it down or unstring it.

Hey Clint,
You need to make one for Franko. He likes to toss his strung widow in the back of the ute without any cover. I guess he thinks his bow is as tough as him. :D
