I want to use woods that were native to California....
Presenting the California Specials via Big Jims Georgia :)
This is the older brother and twin #1 it 56" 50@28 Take down...Myrtle and Crotch Walnut with sheep horn top, bottom, belly and back...this bow is just about as good as it gets to me :)

WOW Kip that is a BEAUTY!!!! Love that myrtle and sheephorn!!  Makes me want to change my wood combo again but I think Jim would squeeze my neck if I changed again! ;)

Wow! She is georgous!! Do you have any shooting data yet? I would love to know how fast or quiet she shoots, how heavy your arrows etc. Awesome bow!

Thank you guys :) It will be a while before I can shoot it...Jim needs to keep it a while to match the grip on bow #2...
To quote Jim when he email the pictures I asked for he said "I don't know if these will make it better or worse"
I think better but anxious :)
It took a long time to choose the woods and find California wood choices but had I known it would turn out like this......
I could not be any happier !!!
Jim is an ARTIST....

Man! Kip I am almost speechless!!
I couldn't imagine having two of those beauty's to select from... If they shoot anywhere nearly as good as they look the critters better "up" their game.
Thanks for sharing!!
God bless,Mudd
PS: Nothing in today's mail.. waa, waa!...lol

Kip,
You are a lucky man. The anticipation is getting to me. Congrats. I've got some test info on the TC that I just sold that you will be intersted in.
What grip size did you get?
God Bless, Pierre

Jim still has the bow. I want twins so he is Jim still has the bow. He is keeping this one to match the grip on the second one, torture!!!
Pierre, I sent him pictures of grips that I shoot well and it looks like he nailed it? I have a big hand so I think Jim new what I needed (being the little guy he is). I would say it is med with a deep throat to allow room for the fleshy part of my hand between thumb and forefinger. Looks really good I'll say more when I try it out.
