What bow, lbs and draw are you using?
I find it interesting still doing some fine tuning but my best flyers are GT 55-75s cut to 28.5, 175 tip, 50 grain brass insert, 4-4inch parabolic feathers on the end with reflective wrap about 35 grains 20% FOC. I only shoot a 50# bow GP Swift Recurve and these should in theory be way stiff! I also tried CE heritages 150 but couldnt go more than 150 up front and didnt care for the FOC of 12%. Anyone have similar experience?
-
Mine are 55/75 with 100 grain brass inserts and a 145 grain tip or broadhead. Shafts cut to 30 inches. Shooting them out of a black widow bow pulling 48 # at my 29.5 inch draw length.
Total arrow weight is 525 grains more or less.

depends on your actual draw length. if you're not drawing the full 28 then you're not pulling the full 50 which affects what spine arrow you need.

From Leon Stewart 60" Longbow 49@28", my draw 28":
35/55 cut to 29.25".
61 grain insert - standard 11 grain insert with 50 grain screw in insert attached.
5" shields on top of wraps.
150 grain Mangus Stringer 4 blade also been shooting 150 grain Mangus two blade.
FOC 18.6%.
Total weight about 490 grains.

30" 7595 5" sheild cut feathers weighted to 750grn. 195 grn points
and now looking to get a dozen GoldTip target arrows to play with.

What bow and pounds for the 55-75s?
-
I'm shooting these right now thru a 60lb at my draw Habu. I also have some other 5575 shafts weighted less(about 480-500grns) that I shoot thru Black Widows from 54-56lbs. The 7595 shafts I shoot thru my BW 72lb and Ferguson 74lb longbows.
I try to stay anywhere from 9-11lbs per grn.

Draw length and tip weight or added weight up front make the difference...
For my Dryad- 3555 cut to 27 3/4" with a Zwickey and adapter 145grns NO added weight up front fly perfectly..
-
Bow, BW PSA 48# @ 30"
GT 5575 Arrows 31.5"
Practice 125 gr field points with 90gr added to the back of the insert.
Hunting- 145 gr abowyer bonehead with 43gr adapter comes out just over 190gr (still playing with adding 20 gr on insert or not.
3-5" shield cut feathers.
Weight is right around 540gr.
FOC about 19%

54@27" Monarch Royal Longbow, I draw about 26.75"
GT Trad blems 3555 full lenght. 6" wraps, 4x4" feathers. 100 grain insert, 100 grain broadhead adaptors and 100 grain 2 blade magnus heads.
Footed with 3/4" 2117. Just under 600 grains.
-
For my h'bird lb,58#@29.5" am using the GT 55/75,100 gr. insert and 150 gr. stinger. Arrow cut to 31".
-
for my 60lb predator recurve with 29 inch draw the arrows that fly the best are goldtip 3555 cut to 30 inch's with 100 grain insert and 175 grain broadheads, these arrrows weigh in at 535 grains, they also spine out at 32 lbs on stu's Calculator yeah I think its weird too but they work very well. For my moose hunt this fall i will be using Carbon Express 250's cut to 30 1/4 inch with the 100 grain inserts and 175 grain broadheads, these weigh in at 640 grains and fly very well also

Thanks guys, I've been reading your posts and expermenting with the info. I've found I get good flight from 50grn brass inserts and 150grn magnus stingers. the arrow is 35/55 goldtips @ 29" , total arrow weight is 480grns. The foc is 15.5%. I was skeptical of going that high in weight up front but, it does seem to work. thanks again.

About [email protected]" MOAB shooting 30.5" GT trad 5575 with 100 brass insert and 100 gr. point. Same arrow also shoots very well in my +- 52#@29.75" BW PSA. The same basic arrow with a 125 point was just right in my +-54#@29.75 fire fly. All very different center cuts and limb designs, but they all bare shafted excellent to 40 yd. and looked good in paper Personal form issues, bow performance, center cut of bow, and other things make a big difference as to what works for each person.

49# @ 28 - Rivers Edge - drawing a shade less than 28.
3555 -cut to 29"
Zwickey Eskilite - 135 grain
5" parabolic
total weight - 460 grain
fly good for me without added weight up front.

I shoot 5575 Traditionals 29.5" BOP 35 gr weight behind 15 grain insert with 175Gr point 5" feathers and a wrap. Gives me 535 gr. They shoot great out of my 54# longbow and my 60# LB my 60# previously 55#? I had my bow checked today it felt a little heavy when I got it a couple months ago but recently feels really good. So I had The local trad friendly shop check my bow and to my surprise it came out to 60#@28". My other bow was 55.5#. We repeated this 3 times just to confirm. I also had my draw checked with the measured arrow. 28.5". I said all this to show the wide range of spine in this arrow. Check your bow to find what she really pulls. I just took the marking as correct, I know we have a +- of 2# when we order but the bow should be marked according to final tiller. I think I may go to a 30" arrow just for safety. I increased my draw by a .5" that's a good thing.
-
54#@28" recurve.
GT 55/75. 250gr head, 100gr insert, 4x4" feathers, 26% foc, 610gr and they fly great.
then there's my water buffulo arrows.......

(LH) Hybrid TD longbow 63# @ 31" from hare to african elan (hopefully soon...):
goldtip BG full lenght, 100 brass insert and 250 gr broadheads, wrap and 4 4" feathers: 720 gr, FOC 23%.
Flight is great (straight on and within fletched/BH arrows) but little stiff past 25 yards when bare shaft testing. (BH/fletched arrows "on" the mark and most of bare S. always 2" right at 30 yards)
