Anyone seen shot one of these yet? I checked them out on their website and they look awesome. I know they are replicas but their pricing looks nice. I'm thinking a one piece and a take down might be coming my way early next year. That TD looks like the one John Voight used to kill that inbred in Deliverance!
-
I agree, they look GREAT! I think Voight used a Kodiak Hunter...? I'm hoping 3-Rivers sends out a mailer or updated catalog as soon as they are available.
-
Yeah those look great. I love the redwood look.
-
It was Burt Reynolds who killed the hillbilly in Deliverance.
Burt used a Bear take down bow.
Jon Voight was tied to a tree....
Ned Beatty was draped over a log.
Charles.
-
And then.... Voight crawled up a cliff, and used his Bear bow (a Kodiak Hunter?), to kill the Hillbilly who had shot Burt.
-
I thought Burt Reynolds used a Bear Tamerlane in deliverance? I'll have to take a closer look the next time I watch the tape.
-
No, jarhead_hunter is right:

Interestingly, in the book, both were custom bows.

I like their Super Grizzly's look. Might have to break down and do some overtime before Christmas
-
I shot the TD at Denton Hill(I wish I'd have gone right down the rack and shot all of the bows). You won't be disapointed with a new TD.Fast and no handshock.
2  for sure.
My only issue with the bow is the grip.A little thin for my liking, but that is my own preference.
-
I'm gonna get one of those take downs. But i'm gonna do my best not to shoot any hillbilly's or red neck's.Unless of course they're inbred.
-
Haven't seen Deliverance for years - did remember it was a bear - but not which one. Wonder were that bow ended up?
"Squeal like a pig"
-
Just checked out the new line. They're beautiful! Can't wait to shoot some of them, the AuSable Longbow really caught my eye.
-
I guess they look OK but that Super Kodiak does not look like the one I had. The old black ones were sharp.
-
I shot my first deer with a short handled take down, the first year they were sold, the temptation is getting over whelming.
-
Mr. Reynold's bow was a Bear Metal Riser TD. Great bow!
I stopped in on October 4th on my way to the NASP World tournament. All the new bows were in Evansville, IN being photographed. Eric even checked on the factory floor for a TD so I could hold one but none were available.
He told me the TD is the same profile as Supreme but different woods. Of course it is also $500 more affordable!

That explains something Roy, sorry to get off topic a bit here but my family and I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express on Archer Road in Gainesville on our way to Universal Studios the first week of Oct. There were kids running all over the hotel and I notice a lot of archery slogans painted on many of the cars and "soccer mom" vans in the parking lot. Of course the hotel sits just off of Fred Bear Road/Lane and near the Bear plant. I told my wife that the nationals must have been underway. We stay at that hotel each year when we travel to Orlando. Two times I've walked into the hotel lobby and found my name written on a poster naming me the "Quest of the Day". Probably pure luck of the draw, but I always tell my wife that Fred's spirit is still taking care of me (We used to stop in and visit with Fred each time we drove through Gainesville.) The whole archery theme at the hotel brought back some of those memories. Now on with the thread:^)!

Yep, we had the NASP World Tournament at ESPN's Wide WOrld of Sports. There were 973 students from the US, Canada, Africa, and New Zealand.

any one know where there made?
