Title: Rancho Safari Long Coat or Bush-n-bag
Post by: chopx2 on November 09, 2010, 09:31:00 PM
Trying to decide which to get. Never seen either in person.

Both seem portable.

From photos the RS Longcoat seems like better camo with more color contrast, but it is very expensive.

B-n-B seems more versatile as you can wear it or use it as camo netting to make a blind on the go.

Anyone with experience with both?

Can't beat the Rancho Safari "longcoat" for quality and durability.

Both are great products.  I've been using the Busn N a Bag the past few weeks.  I like it because its versatile.  You can change the color scheme in seconds just by clipping hanks of jute or burlap to it and using the material color as the background.  It's light weight, easy carry, and it dries out fast.

Not trying to highjack the thread, but how warm is the rancho?  I'm also on the fence with these two products especially for spring turkeys and our archery season.  Both tend to have some very warm days, will you sweat like crazy in the rancho?

The real question I am asking is which one will help me kill more deer and hogs  :D

No doubt the RS is heavy and can be warm on hot days. I have a Cabela's leafy suit I wear when the temp is way up there and I expect to be moving with it on. I find that if I'm not moving around a lot the RS works just fine in warm weather. We've had a warm fall and I havn't used my leafy suit since mid-October. Its been all RS and will be through turkey season. By the way, I hunt way back on public land, and pack my suit in with me and slip it on when I find a spot to set up. That is why I prefer the "longcoat" over a two piece suit. Easy on and easy off. Really hides the human form. Good luck and enjoy the experience.
