Thinking I may buy one of these seats. Everyone that has purchased one I would like to hear some feed back so far.
-
Well I have not purchased one but I was able to use the one that Terry had in MO. It is very comfortable and versitale. I had a buck walk by me at four yards.
-
Yep....I love mine!...and glad I could share it with Randy on that hunt and get his input and see that buck he filmed out of it at 4 yards.

I just had David upgrade my old model for the new one with the leg. Now I can use it in my DB blind or in a privit bush. I didn't think he could make it better than it was............but he did.

I was just thinking this morning that I needed to give a report now that I've gotten to hunt with it awhile.
Two thumbs up!!!! I love mine! I've been able to set up in a few spots that my DB Magnum just wouldn't work. Don't get me wrong I still like my DB Magnum( with my own leather carrying strap added)
My carrying strap works better than the one that comes on the seat.
The Waldrop Pacseat is by far the easiest to take along and it can/is used to carry other stuff too.
The only draw back I ran into was while trying to cross a creek over a log/debris jam. I'm not that coordinated so when I tried walking one of the smaller sized trunks I lost my balance and fell into the pile on my back. I was like a turtle on its back for quite a while..lol I couldn't sit up and I couldn't roll over and believe me I was trying. I finally quit struggling, laid back and had a good laugh. Nothing was hurt(most importantly me, secondly my Big 5 and lastly my Pac seat)
I finally figured out that I'd need to somehow get the pac straps off of my shoulders. Once I accomplished that(no easy task btw) I was able to get myself up-righted and back on my way.
Again... two thumbs up for the Waldrop Pac-seat.
God bless,Mudd

I have one and it's great. Tennis balls on the feet on soft ground are a good idea. It can also clank together while on your back if you bump into something. Some adhesive felt in the right spots fixes that though.
It is absolutely great for dragging deer. You just unbuckle the shoulder straps, put your drag over the frame in the middle, re-buckle the straps and you're good to go. With the weight distributed between your shoulders, chest and hips, it makes it much easier. I didn't say pleasant, but easier. :D
It is pretty comfortable but I still use a foam seat on it. The thin ones will fold right up in it and don't get in the way. That way if you want to go on the move and not take the pac seat you still have something to sit on.

I bought one a couple years ago and liked it so much, I bought another! He sent me a leg and the hardware so that I could upgrade my old seat and now I have two, so I gave my old one to mt 12 year old son. Most comfortable hunting seat I've ever set in, bar none! Jason

I bought one a couple of months ago and am really pleased. David hit a grand slam with this design! It sure is light and comfy....

I just received a new one yesterday.I havent tried it out yet while hunting but I have sat in it.It is very comfortable and is very sturdy, well put together, and looks to be made from high quality materials. You can tell a lot of thought went into the design of this seat.
-
I really like mine, too. I attached an old WW2 Alice pack to it to haul my extras along with me and it works perfectly. I do need to quieten it down, though. I get a clank every now and then.
In the off season, I'm going to rig up a better pack system to attach to it. I also want to get some camo netting that I can use to set up a temporary blind.
It's a very useful item. Unless I'm going to be doing a lot of scrambling through brush and sliding down hills, I take it with me.
I will say that you need to make sure the chest strap is buckled if you think you might get a shot while wearing it. I missed a buck at 20' when my bowstring caught on the buckle.

I used my new Pacseat Saturday. Walked around 2 hours with it strapped on. Shot a few stumps, no problem or interference from the seat. About an hour before dark, I stopped and stood still listening for akerns. I heard a bunch dropping about 100 yards off so I went over there, got 20 yards downwind and set it up in a blowdown using the new leg. Draped my small piece of netting across in front of me and settled in.
I didn't see anything, probably because I fell asleep, but before I did, I could see it would be easy to shoot in any direction by leaning forward. Of course you can shoot off your left side without doing so.
I'm gonna be using mine alot more often!
