Title: New book at Raptor Archery , Legends in Archery
Post by: Ted Fry on December 17, 2010, 03:46:00 PM
A new book and what a great book it is , Legends in Archery by Peter Stecher. Great Job Peter .
I will just quote Peter on the intro.
"This book emanated from my desire to let today's archers experience the adventures and the spirit of archery pioneers, and to maybe motivate them to learn more and to read the many wonderful books written by these fascinating characters".
This book has them all  from Howard Hill, Will and Maurice Thompson , Any ail, Sasha Siemel, John Shulz, Fred Bear , Frank Eicholtz, Bob Swinehart and on and on . Just in time to give that Christmas gift to your hunting buddy, something to read on those cold days after hunting.  www.raptorarchery.com (http://www.raptorarchery.com)  go to the book section.

Cool! Is this one in English? I have the German edition, and it sure does have some information that otherwise you wouldn't learn. The author has done heaps of research into traditional bowhunting history. I highly recommend this book, and might have to invest in another copy if this one is in English, as my ability with German is not very much. It really is a nice book.

Thanks for getting them to me in time for Christmas, Ted.  Only thing is, I forgot to order one for myself!  I'll get you an order for another one when I get back from my hunting trip to New Mexico in about the middle of January.

Hello Folks!  Thanks for compliments!!  Best & Straight Shooting to you all!!  And special Thanks to Ted Fry!!!

We did a movie short, titled "Legends in Archery - Fun with Howard Hill Style Longbows". It contains a lot of high speed takes of hitting unsusual targets with straight bamboo longbows and wooden arrows. I had the chanche to make that movie and wanted it to a tribute to the early US-archery greats!  Enjoy!  ;o))

It's posted by a French title, because some sounds will be corrected, and then I will repost it with the original title:
