Title: First arrows released 2011!
Post by: Alfie on January 16, 2011, 03:11:00 PM
Despite winter time, about a meter of snow, -7 below, highwinds, darkness have fallen...I couldnt handle it anymore!
Hanging around on the forum, reading about bows and arrows, just become to much for me.
I went down to the garage, strung up my Internature 50#@28", got a cedar shafted arrow from the quiver, but up the arrow stop, step back as long as I can (about 5m) nocked the arrow, picked a spot, draw back, finger under the jaw and release, all in one motion. And the arrow hit just where I wanted!...what a rush!

Found a candle, lighted it and swiched of the lamp....took me about 10-15 arrows, almost all of em real close, until it was light's out with a perfekt hit!

I stoped there, wanted to preserve the feeling until next time...god it feelt good!!

Just wanted to tell some one who understands my insanity     :biglaugh:

I'm right there with you!!

I love shooting flames!!

One thing for sure when you're shooting flames its all instinctive because you can't see anything but the flame.

That kind of practice really pays off the next time your shooting in the daylight.

Thanks for sharing.

God bless,Mudd

Good job a being creative enough to continue with your passion. Practising at 5m has its benefits. Many will shoot well at much longer distances since we tend to concentrate more on form. When a close shot presents itself, we may tend to get lax with our form and muff the shot.
