Is it possible to remove the factory lettering from carbon or aluminum arrows. If so please tell me how. Thanks

I get it off my carbons with acetone. Use a paper towel and lightly rub. Comes right off

Gold tips (carbon) take a little more than a paper towel. I use fine steel wool and acetone.

Acetone and believe it or not, Mr. Clean Magic eraser works great on my bemans. With that said I have never been able to get the letters of a CX shaft without messing up the finish.

x2 on the acetone and steel wool.

Buckwheaties: No offence but you must have had some tough GT's. I have taken it off GT's by using a really wet (acetone) paper towel...
Dan, thats interesting as I am thinking about CX's for a new bow....

Lacquer thinner takes it right off. No work. I also thin Bohnings paint with LT.

I shoot the Beman mfx shafts out of a couple of bows and what I do is cut the shafts down from the nock end and when you put on a cap wrap it covers all the writing. Course this won't help you any if you shoot shafts over 30".
